Waste To Wonders - A Cherished Memory
People who are willing to travel around the world and visit all the famous destinations of the world, but they are doesn't have time and money to roam around the world and take their memorable pictures with monuments must try "Waste To Wonders" Theme Park at New Delhi, India. With the same ambition, me and my entire family visited the theme park last week and we enjoyed a lot.
Lets take a look, what Waste to Wonders has to offer to its tourists. Its a park which is made in 5 acres of land at Sarai Kale Khan of New Delhi (India) with 150 Tons of scrap material and made by the 12 artist with the help of 70 workmen. Scrap was used to promote the reusability and recyclability of scrap material among masses. Scrap material used are automobile, bicycle and FMCD waste material. Park is having world famous monuments like Great Pyramids of Giza, Eiffel Tower of Paris, Taj Mahal of Agra, Statue of Liberty of New York, Rio Redeemer of Rio-D-Janeiro, Colosseum of Rome and Leaning Tower of Pisa. Maximum height of any monument is not more than 60 ft.

This is the 2nd monument in the route, which is having tilt of 3.97 degrees southward(as the original monument is having). Its a bell tower made during medieval period and located at Pisa - Rome. Tilt is because of unstable base, which made tower to tilt by 5.5 degree by 14th century. But after restoration work tilt was reduced to 3.97 degrees in 2001. Weight of the original monument is 14.5K tonnes and made up of marble & stones with height of 55.86 meters from ground.
Eiffel Tower of Paris

This will be the 3rd monument which will come during your visit. Its height is almost 60 ft and its the highest structure of the park and made out of automobile waste. Its the only structure which you can see from outside the park. You will find it attractive because of its exact similarity to original structure. Original tower is located at Paris and constructed during 1887-1889 and its height is 324 meters. It have 3 levels. 1st and 2nd levels are for visitors and restaurant, whereas the 3rd level 276 meters high is observation deck available for tourist to visit in European Union. Its Symbolic to France and called as "La dame de fer" in local language, which means "Iron lady" in French.

Colosseum of Rome
4th monument en-route was Colosseum of Rome. Made out of scrap material. Its a massive structure in a small space, so I could not take complete picture of it(evident from above picture). Its the largest amphitheater built till date and completed in 80 AD. With its ok structure it can accommodate minimum 50K spectator at its time of operation. Its an iconic symbol of Imperial Rome and is Seven wonders of world.

Next monument was of Rio Redeemer which is symbolic to Brazil. Original structure is present at Rio D Janeiro(Capital of Brazil) it was made in 1931. Its made by French sculptor Paul Landowski and built by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa. Original structure is made of concrete and soapstone and weighs approx 635 tonnes and having a height of 30 meters with stretch of 28 meters. Its a symbol of Christianity and its one of the most renowned figures of world and comes in Seven wonders of the world.

Next monument was of Statue of Liberty. Original structure is present at New York, USA. Its a copper structure which was gifted by the French people to USA people. Its built by Gustave Eiffel and considered as icon of freedom. Weight of structure is 225 tones and installed in 1886. Since the structure is made up of scrap, so its painted in black colour. where as the original structure is of green colour(primarily because of oxidation)

Along with these monuments kids can also enjoy walking over the bridge and feel the cool breeze of waterfall. Over all experience of our family was quite good, as the designers and municipality has made proper arrangement of water points, toilets and canteen (with multiple eating outlet). My recommendation for everyone is to visit at least once and enjoy all the Seven monuments at a price of entry ticket of Rs 50/- only (less than a US dollar) 😃.
